JobZor LLC
Privacy Policy
1. Introduction and Scope
JobZor respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how JobZor LLC ('JobZor,' 'we,' 'us,' or 'our') collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you access or use the JobZor mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the 'Platform'). It applies to users, business account holders, and persons who manage business listings. It does not govern independent third-party services accessed through JobZor.
2. Information You Provide
JobZor may collect information you provide directly, including name or display name, email, phone number, profile photo, account preferences, selected language, notification preferences, support submissions, reports, and other information voluntarily provided through Platform features. Verification information may be collected if a verification feature is implemented.
3. Business Information
Business listing information may include business name, description, category or profession, phone, address, ZIP or postal code, service area, website, social links, languages, services, prices, hours, availability, hero images, Portfolio, Showcase, and other listing information. Information intentionally added to a public listing may be visible to other users. Credentials, security information, and non-public account records are not automatically public.
4. Location Information
JobZor may process device location with permission, Current Location, manually entered addresses, custom locations, ZIP or postal codes, business locations, service areas, and approximate geographic information for Near Me, distance, maps, search, service-area matching, and discovery. Current Location is not automatically published. If you choose to enable live location sharing for a business, JobZor uses device location to update that business’s availability, including while the app is in the background, subject to foreground and background location permissions. Previously enabled sharing may continue or resume using saved sharing state. You can stop sharing through the business’s location controls or revoke location permission in device settings. This is separate from foreground location used for discovery and from submitting a one-time current location.
5. Messages and Communications
JobZor may process messages, participants, timestamps, read status, attachments, notification metadata, and information associated with reported conversations. Private messages are generally intended for participants and are not routinely manually monitored. Relevant communications may be reviewed for reports, fraud, abuse, safety, security, support, enforcement, or legal compliance. Certain history may remain after deletion with the account shown as 'Deleted User.'
6. Appointments and Requests
Appointment or request data may include participants, requested date and time, status, notes, and notification information. It is generally available to the relevant user and business. A user's history with one business is not automatically disclosed to unrelated businesses.
7. Photos, Videos and User Content
JobZor may process profile photos, hero images, Portfolio media, Showcase content, reviews, comments, and other user-generated content. Public content may be visible to others. JobZor may store, resize, compress, format, display, and deliver media to operate the Platform. Users are responsible for rights and permissions for uploaded content.
8. Device and Technical Information
Depending on actual technical configuration, JobZor may process device type, operating system, app version, IP address, language or device settings, login/session information, crash/error logs, diagnostics, security signals, performance information, and push tokens for operation, security, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, analytics, and performance.
9. Information From Third Parties
When you use third-party authentication such as Google or Apple, JobZor may receive information authorized by that provider, such as a unique identifier, name, email, or profile image. Apple Hide My Email may provide a relay address. JobZor does not receive or store Google or Apple passwords through those authentication processes.
10. How JobZor Uses Information
JobZor may use information to create and maintain accounts, authenticate users, operate listings, connect users with businesses, provide search and Near Me, calculate distances, operate Messages and requests, display content, send notifications, remember settings, provide support, troubleshoot, improve the Platform, detect fraud and abuse, investigate reports, moderate content, protect security, enforce policies, and comply with law.
11. Search, Location and Personalization
JobZor may use Current Location where permitted, ZIP/postal code, custom location, search terms, categories, language filters, service-area preferences, and related search preferences to provide relevant results. A user's search location is not automatically disclosed to businesses. A user may independently choose to share an address or location in a message or request.
12. Notifications
JobZor may send notifications for messages, appointments/requests, status changes, reviews/comments, business activity, security, account matters, and important service communications. Users may manage permitted notifications. Marketing preferences do not necessarily affect essential legal, security, account, or service communications. Lock-screen message content may be limited for privacy.
13. Safety, Fraud Prevention and Moderation
JobZor may process relevant information to identify, prevent, investigate, and respond to fake accounts/businesses, scams, phishing, spam, abuse, prohibited content, suspicious activity, security threats, and policy violations. Administrative access to private or sensitive information should be limited to authorized support, moderation, safety, security, fraud, or legal purposes, with role-based controls and audit logging where implemented.
14. How Information Is Shared
Information may be shared with relevant users/businesses for interactions, made public when intentionally posted publicly, processed by service providers, disclosed under valid legal requirements, disclosed where permitted for safety/fraud protection, or transferred in certain corporate transactions. Private messages and precise Current Location are not generally made available to unrelated businesses merely because they use JobZor.
15. Public Information
Public business information may include business name, images, category, description, public address/service area, contact information, hours, availability, services/prices, languages, websites/social links, Portfolio, Showcase, ratings, reviews, and comments. Standard-user display names or profile images may appear where relevant. Users should understand that others may screenshot or retain public information.
16. Service Providers
JobZor may use providers for cloud hosting, databases, authentication, mapping/geocoding, notifications, email/SMS, security, fraud prevention, crash reporting, analytics, and payment processing if introduced. Providers may process information reasonably necessary to provide their services. JobZor uses third-party service providers and SDKs to support features such as authentication, maps and location, notifications, hosting, and app infrastructure. These providers may process information as needed to provide their services, subject to their own privacy practices.
17. Third-Party Services and Links
JobZor may contain links to third-party websites, social networks, apps, or services. JobZor does not control independent third-party privacy practices. Once a user leaves JobZor and accesses a third-party service, that third-party service's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy apply to the user's use of that service.
18. Advertising and Analytics
JobZor may use analytics to understand usage, diagnose errors, evaluate performance, improve functionality, and protect the Platform. If targeted advertising, cross-app/cross-site tracking, or materially different advertising technology is introduced, the Policy will be updated and required consent or choices provided. Sponsored or Promoted listings do not by themselves mean personal information is sold.
19. Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
JobZor does not intend to sell users' personal information to data brokers for money. Some privacy laws define 'sale,' 'share,' or 'targeted advertising' more broadly. If JobZor engages in activity legally classified as sale or sharing that creates an opt-out right, JobZor will provide required choices and update disclosures.
20. Data Retention
JobZor retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Platform, maintain accounts and necessary communication history, protect security, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Different data categories may have different periods. Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups until normal overwrite or deletion cycles occur.
21. Account Deletion and Deleted Users
Account deletion removes your JobZor profile, ownership links, eligible owned-business listings, reviews you authored, applicable provider replies, relevant account-linked message and conversation state, live-location records, notification registrations and preferences, and associated activity records covered by the deletion process. It also attempts to delete safely attributable uploaded media and your sign-in identity. These steps may complete separately; a request is not confirmation that every step has finished. Completed deletion cannot be undone. Other people’s reviews, customer messages and records may remain. Moderation reports, cases, appeals, enforcement records, administrative and security audit records, deletion-processing records, and limited information retained for security, fraud prevention, disputes or legal obligations may also remain. Uploaded media may remain where it cannot safely be attributed or deletion has not completed. You can request deletion in Settings > Account settings > Danger Zone, or email privacy@jobzorapp.com without opening the app. We may need to verify your identity or account ownership.
22. Data Security
JobZor uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information, potentially including authentication, encryption in transit, secure password handling, access controls, restricted backend access, role-based administrative permissions, audit logs, strong administrator authentication, two-factor authentication where implemented, monitoring, fraud detection, and security updates. No electronic system can be guaranteed absolutely secure.
23. Children and Teen Privacy
JobZor is not intended for children under 14. A standard user must be at least 14 unless applicable law where the user lives requires a higher minimum age. Users aged 14-17 may use eligible standard features but may not create or manage a business listing. A person must be at least 18 to create or manage a business listing. Users are responsible for truthfully confirming that they satisfy applicable age requirements. JobZor generally relies on self-confirmation unless verification is legally required, reasonably necessary for safety/compliance, or implemented for a feature. False age confirmation may result in restriction or termination.
24. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on applicable law, users may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain copies or portability, opt out of certain processing, or opt out of legally defined sales/sharing. Some information may be retained despite deletion requests where permitted or required for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or disputes. JobZor may reasonably verify identity or account ownership.
25. Location and Device Permissions
Some features may request Location, Camera, Photos/media, Notifications, or Microphone permission if voice functionality is provided. Users may decline or disable permissions. Disabling a permission may limit the corresponding feature without necessarily preventing unrelated use; for example, users may search by ZIP/postal code or custom location when supported.
26. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights, potentially including access, correction, deletion, portability, opt-outs for certain sales/sharing or targeted advertising, and appeal rights. Rights and exceptions vary by jurisdiction. JobZor will provide required processes where applicable and will not unlawfully discriminate for exercising applicable rights.
27. International Users
JobZor may be accessed outside the United States. Privacy rights and obligations vary by location and JobZor's activities. Where applicable law imposes additional requirements, JobZor will take appropriate steps. Personal information may be processed in other countries, with legally required transfer safeguards used where applicable. JobZor does not claim compliance with a particular international privacy regime unless its requirements have been evaluated and implemented.
28. Legal Requests and Protection of Rights
JobZor may preserve, review, or disclose information when reasonably necessary and permitted or required by law, including in response to subpoenas, court orders, warrants, valid legal process, regulatory requirements, fraud investigations, safety threats, or lawful protection of rights/property. JobZor may evaluate requests and seek to limit disclosure to the proper scope. User notice may be provided where legally permitted and appropriate, but is not guaranteed.
29. Business Transfers
If JobZor participates in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, asset sale, or similar transaction, personal information may be disclosed or transferred where legally permitted. Due-diligence access should be appropriately limited. If ownership changes cause a material change in data use, notice will be provided where required.
30. Changes to This Privacy Policy
JobZor may update this Privacy Policy as the Platform or legal requirements evolve. The current version will include an Effective Date or Last Updated date. Material changes may be communicated through the Platform, notification, email, or another appropriate method. Where consent is legally required for a materially new use, required consent will be requested before that use.
